Former MISFITS Frontman Suffering From Severe Ear Infection, Refuses To Cancel Shows

Former MISFITS frontman Michale Graves recently had to make a pit stop on his 2005 "Punk Rock Is Dead" tour at the Portland, OR hospital emergency care. Michale is suffering from a severe ear infection and has been running a fever betwen 101 and 103 degrees as well as experiencing a loss of equilibrium. The pain from the infection was reportedly so severe that he had to be rushed to the Portland emergency care on Monday (October 10). Doctors recommended that he take a few days off to rest and get healthy, but Michale rejected their advice and refuses to cancel any dates on this tour. He will continue touring in support of his debut solo CD, "Punk Rock Is Dead", which was released by Horror High on June 21. The CD has remained in the Top 25 list of best-selling CDs at Interpunk.com for the past two months.

Michale Graves can be heard on the ROADRUNNER UNITED "The All-Star Sessions" CD, which was released on October 11. Graves contributes vocals and lyrics to the track "I Don't Wanna Be (A Superhero)", also featuring Matthew K. Heafy (TRIVIUM) on lead and rhythm guitar, Justin Hagberg (3 INCHES OF BLOOD) on rhythm guitar, Mike D'Antonio (KILLSWITCH ENGAGE) on bass and Dave Chavarri (ILL NINO) on drums.
